General Investment Accounts

What is a General Investment Account

It’s an account that lets you save for your future –  and there’s no upper limit on how much you can invest. That makes it a useful option if you’ve already used up your ISA and pension allowances.

Unlike a Stocks and Shares ISA or Personal Pension, any returns or income from your investments will be subject to tax. How much tax you’ll pay will depend on your circumstances which is explained in the Information section.

Benefits of a General Investment Account

  • No limit to how much you can invest.
  • Choose from mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), investment trusts or individual stocks and shares.
  • Start a new investment today, transfer existing investments, or hold your money in cash until you’ve chosen your investments.

General Investment Account Options

  • Over 3,000 Investment Funds
  • Large selection of UK and International shares
  • Investment Trusts
  • Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs)
